LGBTQIA+ is an umbrella term that refers to a wide range of sexual and gender identities including but not limited to lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer or questioning, intersex, asexual or ally, and plus to include additional identities. 1 A 2017 Gallup Poll estimated that around 4% or 10 million Americans identify as LGTBQIA+. 2
