Board of Directors

The CAN Board of Directors serve as the governing body of CAN.

Their duties are to:

  • Support the organization’s vision, mission, and purpose
  • Approve the strategic direction of the organization and ensure effective organizational planning to achieve the CAN mission
  • Select the Executive Director and support the Executive Director in fulfilling the CAN mission and role
  • Approve the CAN budget, provide financial oversight and ensure there are adequate resources to implement the CAN mission
  • Determine, monitor, and strengthen organizational programs and services
  • Enhance the organization’s public standing
  • Ensure legal and ethical integrity and maintain accountability
  • Assess the performance of the CAN Board of Directors
