"Reconciliation requires changes of heart and spirit, as well as social and economic change. It requires symbolic as well as practical action."
- Malcolm Fraser
The topic for this month's Red Bench conversation is reconciliation. So, I begin by asking, to what, or to whom do you feel the need to be reconciled to? Is there an family member who you feel estranged from? Or, do you long for a reconciliation between factions or groups within our society and our community?
Reconciliation is a process involving forgiveness, justice and peace-making. Are we up to the task? How do our faith traditions inform our way of thinking about what it means to be reconciled? Join us for what should prove to be a fascinating conversation about reconciliation as it is lived in your life and in the shared life of Austin
A light meal is served from 6:00 to 6:30 PM, the dialogue begins at 6:30 and concludes at 8:00.
