Addressing Institutional Racism
A principal area of focus identified during the 2016 CAN retreat was the importance of addressing institutional racism. Monthly CAN Board meetings will be used as vehicle by which to learn about strategies and additional programming CAN partners and other public/private institutions are currently using and/or may consider utilizing to conduct thorough systems analyses, identify root causes of inequities and make race equity a priority in decision-making at all levels.
